Sannabis, Inc. (OTC:USPS) announces plans to build two 33 MPa hemp block manufacturing plants—one in Barranquilla, Colombia, and another in Central Georgia, USA—to produce high-strength structural hemp blocks, addressing a market gap as most hempcrete blocks only reach 5 MPa.

Breakthrough: 33 MPa Hemp Block Verified in Engineering Tests

Engineering documentation from Sannabis’ research team shows the block achieves 33 MPa compressive strength, exceeding typical hempcrete (0.2-5 MPa) and many conventional masonry blocks (7-12 MPa), and meets Colombian construction standards NSR-10, NTC 220, NTC 121, and NTC 4050.

Two Hempcrete Plants: Colombia & USA

The Barranquilla, Colombia plant will serve domestic markets, export to Florida and U.S. Gulf regions, and long-term export of hemp hurd to Savannah, Georgia for blending with U.S. kaolin before re-export to the Middle East, creating a new cross-border industry.

Located with deep-water port access and a free-trade zone, the Barranquilla plant leverages proximity to Colombian hemp cultivation regions.

The Central Georgia plant will be built on land owned by a Sannabis shareholder in the Kaolin Corridor, adjacent to one of the U.S.’s largest kaolin mines, allowing direct blending of Colombian hemp hurd with Georgia kaolin for fire-resistant, sustainable blocks targeting developers and international markets.

A Binational Economic Bridge

Sannabis states this project serves as an economic bridge between the U.S. and Colombia, fostering shared economic opportunity and sustainability during heightened geopolitical tension.

The initiative establishes a new industry where Colombia provides agricultural resources and the U.S. contributes mineral and industrial infrastructure, creating carbon-negative building materials while generating jobs in U.S. manufacturing and providing Colombian farmers a legal, sustainable crop alternative to illicit activities.

Technical and Environmental Benefits

Key technical benefits include 33 MPa strength, thermal efficiency, fire resistance (kaolin stable at 1800°C), acoustic insulation, humidity regulation, mold resistance, VOC-free composition, lightweight nature, and high precision.

Environmental benefits include 1.5-2 tons of CO₂ captured per ton of hemp grown, continued CO₂ absorption as the block cures, reduced embodied carbon versus cement, eligibility for carbon credits, and support for circular agriculture and rural development.

Forward Strategy and Patents

Sannabis intends to file U.S. and international patents for the proprietary kaolin-hemp binder system, structural block geometry, thermal stability enhancements, and new lightweight high-density block applications.

Financing Disclosure

Sannabis states construction of both plants requires long-term financing, which remains unsecured; the company is actively discussing with investors, infrastructure lenders, export agencies, and government programs but has no finalized commitments.
