Ascend Teams with Mister Jones to Launch New Jersey Dispensary
Ascend Wellness Holdings Inc. (AWH) has inked a partnership with Mister Jones LLC and veteran cannabis advocate Lerone Jones to launch a retail dispensary in Little Falls, N.J., under New Jersey’s new Assembly Bill A4151. The deal represents one of the first diversely owned business investments allowed under the law.
AWH will fund the retail space, provide upfront capital, guarantee product flow from its portfolio, and supply technical operations support. The dispensary at 655 US‑46 will open on Dec. 19.
Jones formerly supervised the floor at Ascend Montclair, founded Green Garden Advisors, and has championed adult‑use legalization across the state. His 2017 Nevada study trip with New Jersey lawmakers shaped his retail vision.
“I am excited to rejoin Ascend and continue our mission of making cannabis accessible and beneficial for all,” he said. “This partnership proves the industry can create jobs and revitalize communities harmed by the war on drugs, and I will prioritize customer education.”
“Partnering with Lerone Jones gives Ascend a powerful foothold in New Jersey,” said regional director Grazia Laurendi. “His deep industry knowledge and advocacy align with our goal to expand responsibly and boost the local economy.”
The store will operate 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. A grand opening on Dec. 19 will feature giveaways, promotions and in‑store activations.
