Unite Vapeware Unveils First USA‑Made Cannabis Vape Pen
Unite Vapeware, a Sacramento‑based manufacturer of cannabis vaporizing devices, announced the launch of the first vape pen produced entirely in the United States. The product debuted through a partnership with Pure Ohio Wellness, a licensed cannabis lab operating in Ohio.
Since its founding in 2018, Unite Vapeware has managed design, engineering, sales, customer support and order fulfillment from its U.S. headquarters while maintaining a presence in China to oversee supply‑chain logistics and quality control. The company says this hybrid model allowed it to keep costs competitive and uphold safety standards as the market matured.
The recent opening of a dedicated manufacturing facility in California marks a shift toward full domestic production. By keeping all inventory stateside, Unite Vapeware says it can offer faster turnaround times, tighter oversight of materials, and the ability to tailor devices to local consumer preferences.
Joey Schlaegel, President and CEO of Unite Vapeware, emphasized the significance of the milestone:
“We are excited for the cannabis community to truly appreciate and experience the highest quality products manufactured right here in California. Our new vape pen demonstrates our team’s commitment to innovation. We are consistently striving to raise industry standards and to meet evolving consumer needs.”
The inaugural product is a disposable vape pen that pairs a ceramic heating element with a 510‑thread battery, designed for use with distillate‑based cartridges. Unite Vapeware notes that the device underwent third‑party lab testing for heavy metals, pesticides and residual solvents before release.
Pure Ohio Wellness, founded by professional motorcycle racer Larry Pegram, operates a Level 1 cultivation site, two dispensaries and a processing facility in Ohio. Pegram commented on the partnership:
“Pure Ohio Wellness is committed to improving the lives of Ohio patients by providing only the best medical marijuana products at affordable prices. To be able to offer a new product that is manufactured in the USA reassures our team and consumers of its safety and efficiency.”
Both companies say the collaboration reflects a broader trend toward transparency and local sourcing in the cannabis industry, especially as consumers and regulators place greater emphasis on product traceability.
