Portal: A Wellness & Cannabis Gathering Under the Lion’s Gate
On Saturday, August 8, Tucson’s Rescue Me Wellness will host Portal, an evening that blends movement, mindfulness, and cannabis‑focused wellness under the symbolic glow of the Lion’s Gate Portal. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. for full‑experience guests and at 7:30 p.m. for those opting for the intention‑focused tier, offering a curated mix of yoga, breathwork, sound therapy, and a fire‑bowl manifestation ritual.
Understanding the Lion’s Gate Portal
Each year on August 8, many spiritual communities mark the Lion’s Gate Portal—a date associated with fresh beginnings, courage, personal growth, abundance, and manifestation. While some attendees come to honor the astrological significance, others simply seek a pause to reflect and set intentions. Portal provides a welcoming space for both perspectives, encouraging participants to reconnect with themselves and each other.
Event Experiences
Portal’s program makes full use of Rescue Me Wellness’s outdoor yard and indoor facilities. Highlights include:
- Yoga guided by Lakshmi (R‑YTT500). Participants should bring their own mats.
- A guided breathwork journey led by Lisa Ritter, PA‑C, and Amy Monaco, LMT.
- A sound bath also facilitated by Lakshmi.
- A fire bowl manifestation ritual, where guests write down what they wish to release and what they hope to invite into their lives.
- Sponsor activations from D2 Dispensary, Prime Leaf Dispensary, Trulieve Dispensary, and Halo Infusions, offering cannabis products designed to support vibration and mood.
- Full access to the Rescue Me Wellness yard, featuring a cold plunge, outdoor mineral spas, wet and dry saunas, and red‑light therapy.

During the closing ceremony, participants place their written intentions into the fire as a symbolic act of letting go. Each guest receives a white feather keepsake to remind them of their goals beyond the evening. Tailored IV infusions are also available for an additional fee.

- Full Experience – $55: Early check‑in at 6:30 p.m., includes the yoga class and all subsequent activities.
- Intention Experience – $45: Check‑in at 7:30 p.m., includes everything except the yoga session and early entry.
