The Fox & Friends hosts prepared the signature Honey Deuce at the US Open, blending vodka, lemonade and raspberry liqueur and topping the drink with melon balls that mimic tennis balls.
The beverage, first introduced in 2015, will be served to thousands of fans during the upcoming tournament, according to the program’s announcement.
Sabalenka Stops Play Over Marijuana Smoke
Aryna Sabalenka halted her third‑round match against Kamilla Rakhimova on Friday after fans filled the stadium with marijuana smoke, prompting her to ask the umpire to intervene.
“Someone is smoking weed. Do you mind? Because it’s so strong,” she told the crowd, a statement captured by broadcast footage.
The Belarusian went on to defeat Rakhimova and advance, but the incident reignited scrutiny of the US Open’s cannabis environment.
New York City legalized recreational marijuana in 2021, and local dispensaries now deliver products directly to fans attending the tournament, The New York Post reported.
“You get high, it makes [tennis] a little more entertaining,” Tre Davidson, manager of the nearby Silk Road dispensary, told the outlet.
Spectators have reported a strong odor resembling “bubonic chronic” near several courts, a problem that has persisted since legalization.
While some fans view the scent as part of the atmosphere, Sabalenka’s complaint highlighted concerns for athletes who must breathe clean air during competition.
Clear out the smoke so that athletes can suck down some of the crisp, clean New York City air during their match, the report suggested, adding that edibles could be a less intrusive alternative.
