FARM TO FABRIC runs September 18‑19 at the Brooklyn Peace Center, 23 Marcus Garvey Blvd, Brooklyn, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day, and continues September 20 on Governors Island from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. The program is free with registration, and space is limited.

Live demonstrations showcase the Tuscarora Nation, KINGDOM / weavearth, and the NC State Wilson College of Textiles, illustrating hemp’s journey from farm to fabric in real time.
Sessions cover regenerative agriculture, fiber processing, textile development, design, and manufacturing, linking traditional knowledge with modern innovation.
Art and Exhibitions
Multidisciplinary artist Marie Pervenche presents RAW — INK ON HEMP, a show of over 20 ink works created on raw hemp textile, curated by Connie Byun of 3RD ETHOS GALLERY.
The exhibition pairs with selected pieces from WOMAN — INK ON LINEN and INDIFFERENCE — INK ON HEMP, expanding the narrative into contemporary art.
Fashion Finale
On Governors Island, the Julian Magazine Hemp Issue Release and Fashion Presentation debut collections crafted from hemp and hemp‑blend fabrics.
Designers display finished garments that trace the material’s path from farm to runway, reinforcing the symposium’s theme of sustainability and creative possibility.
